So I class my self as a very lucky person to be involved in wedding photography. Its a very high pressured affair, where mistakes are a no-go because you only get one chance, so skill, timing, a creative eye and two of everything (cameras, flash, lens) are a must !
Although every wedding day holds a special memory for me, they are some that really stand out. This could be due to the location, silly, funny things that happen on the day (ready for the bloopers reel), emotion, or even a Goose visiting the venue and terrorising the guests :) . Every wedding is different , every wedding is special.
For me when I have get home, and back up all the images I always have a sneak peek at the day no matter what time it is. I love this moment, looking at the images and thinking they will love this one or this one or that one.
I see wedding different to the bride and groom, for me its the creative that makes 'a wedding' from. So here are some weddings from 2014 that i would like to share with you . Please share , comment let me know what you think.
Sarah & Neil - The Fairytale Castle
The Venue was Castell Coch Cardiff, South Wales. The venue really lived up to its nickname, The Fairy Tale Castle. This venue has a VERY tight timescale for photographs. If your a photographer and shooting there for the first time then ring way in advance and get the staff to talk you through their plans. They are very helpful.
Apart from the great weather, great guests and bride and groom, these next two images are why this wedding was a highlight for me, The stunning light hitting the bride perfectly..
Jessica & Justin - Garw Nant, Brecon
The next Wedding is a lovely venue in Brecon Beacons. Garw Nant is a stunning country centre with some amazing backdrops for wedding photography. The reception was back at a local village pub with a log fire and a lot of bobble hats ! Again this wedding was a stand out day for me with stunning light and a earthy vintage feel.
