Woodland, Trees & Wildflowers
Jessica & Justin Beynon
Some times I like to look back on weddings and reblog them. This one was Justin & Jessica's wedding day.
I love to shoot weddings that have an old, vintage look to them. Both Jess & Justin are festival goers, both work in the media / music industry and Justin has been a musician and played in bands for many years, so I knew this wedding was going to be a little "different" .
I was so pleased they choose me to cover their wedding day and even more after the consultation where I saw their ideas and look they needed. I knew this was going to be a wonderful creative challenge.
Fitting with the look of the wedding I was very happy to edit the wedding images in a vintage style to compliment the bride and grooms detail of the day. Editing in this way really makes the images stand out and really makes a statement.
We started off at Jessica's parents home and headed to Garwnant in the Brecon Beacons, Wales. It is a country centre that doubles up as a stunning wedding venue, with some amazing rustic photo opportunities in the woodlands. After we had finished with the formal images and bride and groom portraits its was to a local public house in Penderyn called the Red Lion Inn. This pub is a hidden treasure with real ales and a very warm welcome. A lot of food and drink was had by all the guests.
Our final destination was the stunning Ty Newydd Country Hotel to get the party started. with retro DJ (yes he played vinyl all night (only people of a certain age will understand that) the night was sealed in a wonderful set of images.
Also I forgot to add that I captured history at this wedding. I was told I have the last photos of the external toilets at the Red Lion Inn, they were knocked down very soon after. So this is why the groom and male guests tried to get me to take images of them in a toilet !.. I suppose you had to be there...
Thanks again to Jessica & Justin to asking me to cover their awesome wedding day, and congrats on the birth of your lovely daughter Nansi x
